There are actually three or more different Cambridge KJV editions available today: the Cambridge Standard Text edition, the 2005 Cambridge edition edited by David Norton, and the 1873 Cambridge edition edited by Scrivener that is printed in the present-day 2002 Zondervan King James Study Bible. Perhaps in another thread I will present some of the actual differences in text between these 3 Cambridge editions. There are some KJV-only advocates that recommend the Cambridge KJV, but there are other KJV-only advocates that wrongly condemn even minor spelling updatings in the present Cambridge edition. There is one KJV-only web site that condemns the present Cambridge KJV edition as a counterfeit KJV.

I want to look at a few of the differences between the Cambridge Standard Text KJV edition and the Oxford KJV edition in the Scofield Reference Bible.

They both contain errors! Excellent post Logos. Great examples. That's the one thing I've never understood. How can they all be perfect when they all contain variations? No matter how small. If it was perfect in 1611 why did we mess with it

Things that are different are not the same! Either one is correct and one wrong, or both are incorrect, they cannot both be correct if there is a difference.

Some and perhaps many KJV-only advocates seem to stick their heads in the sand and ignore the actual facts. KJV-only author Ed DeVries wrote: "Buy a KJV at any bookstore and compare it to a KJV from 1611 and you will see that EVERY word is the same" (DIVINELY INPSIRED, p. 66). KJV-only author William Bradley wrote: "the King James Bible printed in 1611 reads the same as the King James Bible printed in 1997" (PURIFIED SEVEN TIMES, p. 115). Having done what Mr. Devries suggested, I have found he's totally wrong, and so will anyone else who places the AV 1611 and a later KJV edition side-by-side.

KJV-only author William Bradley wrote: "the King James Bible printed in 1611 reads the same as the King James Bible printed in 1997" (PURIFIED SEVEN TIMES, p. 115). See my answer above. And let's not forget that the "purified 7 times" hooey is a doctrine as false as the KJV Only myth. GOD GOT IT RIGHT FIRST TIME, EVERY TIME. 

Confirms a theory of mine...FALSE BREEDS FALSE. Many who subscribe to the KJV Only myth also subscribe to one or more other false doctrines, with the "purified 7 times" lie and all KJV's are the same lie among them.
